In case you were wondering about the bluesy strains coming over the baby monitor a while ago, no, Keegan’s nap didn’t “take,” and yes, apparently Zoey left a harmonica in his crib.
“Thanks for getting more gorilla bars!”
“You’re welcome, Zoey.”

Keegan’s new word is “Hi”. He will peek over at you and say “hi”. It is the cutest thing! He also can eat. Yesterday he ate a whole sweet potato in two sittings. He has eaten a whole banana in one sitting. That’s our boy!

I just want to point out how much I love it that Zoey calls a sippy cup a zippy cup. I mean, come on—who wouldn’t want to drink from a zippy cup?!
“Um, Daddy? Please can you get me some paper because I need to make a plan because we have to spy on the bad guy. And my name is Double O Zoey.”
This morning I woke up, next to Keegan as always, and he woke up shortly after. (Murphee probably shook her collar out in the living room or something.) I whispered “Hi Keegan.” (Wouldn’t want to wake up Zoey, after all…) Then, I kid you not, Keegan whispered back, “Hi da da da da da.”
