I know, I know… We’re way behind on posting photos or even real honest-to-goodness updates or, well, anything really. So, here’s some food to show we still love you. Or to at least tide you over until we get the photo factory rolling along again.
Evan’s Pressure-Cooker Dhal (Indian Lentil Curry Soup)
Ingredients:

1 TBSP extra-virgin olive oil [...]

“Daddy? Please can you make me some mackincheese, please? With just cheese.”
“Instead of what?”
“Instead of mackin.”
What would you do?
A quick search of our cupboard and the food shelves downstairs revealed that we’re out of the Annie’s organic Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and while we do have an old stash of the regular blue box stuff, [...]

Keegan’s got (at least) six teeth poking through now, and he also has a cold that Zoey kindly shared with him. We’re taking him in tomorrow to see Dr. Tracy. It was supposed to be for a shot (can’t remember which one) but I don’t think they’ll give it to him when they hear his [...]

We had another nice relaxing Thanksgiving with the Hesses, the Mashlans, and Auntie Bonnie.
Thanks (heh) to Rona’s new wheat / milk / egg-free food plan, we had to get creative with some of our dishes. Several things were doubled up, with traditional and alternate versions. It was all good.

Yesterday Rona got a Japanese eggplant out to cook and eat for lunch, but Keegan needed (demanded) her so I took over. 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive [...]

For the record, mostly so I don’t forget… my allergy report came back as Evan said before, and I am allergic to:
All Dairy… Casein, Cheese, Milk, Whey, Yogurt, etc.
Eggs (whites and yolks)
Honey
Sugar (low reaction)
Coffee - low reaction (that’s okay - I don’t drink it much)
Blueberries (dang it! I LOVE Blueberries!)
Soy - low reaction
Sesame (bummer, I [...]

Today was Keegan’s six-month appointment. We got some erythromycin for his goopy eye, since it hasn’t yet cleared up on its own, and he is otherwise doing great! He weighs 19 pounds, 9 ounces.
Rona and had checkups too, and we both have high cholesterol. Rona’s blood pressure is perfect as always, but mine is [...]

Still no little one, so Zo and I made brownies today. I was cruising through some food blogs and came across this new one to me, World on a Plate. Beautiful photos and this delicious recipe for brownies from scratch. It was super easy! We have been snacking on them all afternoon. Enjoy!
From World on [...]

We think that Zoey is gonna have some fine red curly hair!!! Check out this picture.

See? What do y’all think? Her locks are growing in nicely. It seems there is noticably more and more hair every day.
Zoey has been really enjoying her bath time lately. She will crawl in the bathroom when it [...]
