Yes, it has been a very long time. We haven’t updated much. We have had iphoto and computer issues. At one point we had about 900 pictures still in our camera that we couldn’t download into iphoto to save them. I think Evan has fixed it all now. We are just getting ready to get a ton of pictures into Flickr and we will be able to post them here as well.
A month in review:
Keegan has been still getting over ear infections. The last big one was possibly set off by his Hib vaccination. Oh boy, that was a doozy. The last unofficial weight check we did was a couple weeks ago and he was about 22 pounds, 6 ounces. We have been giving him debrox to help clear out the extra wax from his ears so that the docs could see enough to check out the infection part. We will be heading in there today to do another ear check and if needed an ear lavage. He keeps pulling at his ears, so either there is still a bit of infection or else he is in the next stage of teething… those 13 month molars are next. He is such an early achiever. I guess that is in line with the teeth starting at 5.5 months.
In milestone news, Keegan is still doing his creeping crawl. Every once in a while, he will lift up his belly, but seems like that is too much work. He uses his elbows and knees. He can get around, too! He does laps around the kitchen and living room, with a detour into the bathroom and down the hall when he is in the mood. The new thing that he can do since a couple days ago is get from sitting up position to on his belly and back up to a sitting position. Cool! He seems to enjoy doing that. He also enjoys playing with cars (and he can make the vroom sound to go with it!), little people and the little house, farm and castle that goes with it all. Plus he loves Zoey’s guitar, ukulele and kazoo.
Zoey is doing great! It seems that she is really an amazing artist! Her artwork just keeps getting better and better and more creative! She can draw dinosaurs with people riding them, mommy and daddy being “disappointed” (yes, she used that word!) with a mess that Zoey made (and the whole scene is drawn) [note: I don't think we have ever said that we were disappointed with a mess she made... I think we just tell her to clean it up.] and more. I am working on finding a cool art camp for her this summer.
I think for both kids this summer, we are aiming to get them into swimming lessons (Zoey had them when she was 18 months old). Plus an art classes for Zo and starting up The Little Gym for Keegan.
That’s the big news. We will be getting back into posting more regularly and with more pictures, too!
