9 Months and Sick Again

We are all (or were) sick. Evan had a stomach bug, he is feeling much better now! Zoey has a cold. I have the horrible wet cough going around and now I have Zoey’s cold, too. Keegan, poor lil’ punkin’, has my cough and Zoey’s cold and ear infections in both ears.

We had brought Keegan in for a 9 month well-child check up on Monday and did great! Perfectly healthy. He is now 20 pounds, 6 ounces (Zoey is 31.5 pounds.) and 28 inches. He also got his first HiB vaccination. Then on Tuesday, the fun started. He would not sleep unless he was being held (at night) and he would just cry and cry and didn’t eat much. We thought it might be a reaction to the vaccine. We brought him back in on Wednesday. Ear infections and a cough. We got a homeopathic remedy for the vaccine, plus ear drops and naturopathic calming drops called Melissa Supreme. Now it is Friday and Evan brought him in again. His ears are worse. He is still not eating much – nursing is still good though, thank goodness! We just got him some antibiotics and Motrin. Tonight he is still crying that wimpy, I-still-don’t-feel-good cry, the one that just breaks your heart. But he is finally sleeping.
