Wow, where have we been? Well, feeding Keegan of course. We just had our two month visit with Dr. Tracy and Keeg is now 14 pounds, 4.5 ounces. Well, as of last Tuesday anyway—he is probably 15 pounds by now. He is in the 95th percentile for weight, and is also now 24 inches long. So, little baby Keegan is doing really well.

In general he doesn’t cry as much as Zoey did (sorry, Zo). He sleeps a bit better, too. He has woken up between 4:45am-5am everyday for the past three weeks or so, since I have been paying attention. Evan says that he wakes up at about midnight every night, too. His happy time is usually in the mornings. He is smiley and cheerful. He is getting really good at holding up his head. He is also starting to suck on his thumb. He is a good pooper.

Zoey is doing well, too. We are in the very beginnings of potty training. Or rather, the time when Zoey is deciding whether she feels like using the potty. Zoey is still all about the pink princess dresses and it is best if it can "spin" meaning it has a lot of extra material to really flow when she twirls around. She really wants to take ballet lessons, but the ballet schools will only accept kids if they are potty trained. She understood, but still wanted to wear her diapers (and she is very proud about that). Daddy has instituted a new plan where Z sits on the potty at least three times each day. We’ll see how that goes.

Zoey is still doing the Little Gym, and yesterday was Pirate Day. She (and Daddy) were very excited about that. She wore a pirate hat (a black bandanna).

"Yarrrrrrrrrrr!"

We have been attending our preschool’s summer park dates, too. Every Wednesday we go to a different park in the area. Next week is Matthews Beach, the park/beach that I grew up going to. There is still even the grassy hill that I slid down on my knees when I was 5 or something and got a giant piece of glass stuck in my knee. Yeah, I still have the scar. Ahhh, so many memories. Me and Junko (aka Auntie Jooonk) used to hang out there, lay in the sun, read, scout out the boys, and go swimming all summer long during junior high school.

Mommy and Daddy are doing pretty well. We are trying to keep our little family going even without much sleep. I have been getting my students back up and going, and I’ve added several more.

I am looking forward to when Keegan sleeps through the night. Maybe in a year?

Happy Two Months, Keegan!
