Ahhhh, it is now spring break here in the two school districts I teach in, so half my students are on vacation. It is just lovely. I had a marathon weekend with teaching, Easter rehearsals and 4 services and was plum tuckered out.

We also had a lovely visit with Uncle Eric and his family. Got in some great quality time with them and saw their new little one, Taylor! What a cutie! Zoey had a great time with all the kids! We don’t really do Easter over here, so they ended up bringing Zoey a Tinkerbell Easter basket full of goodies. Thanks you guys!!

This morning, Zoey woke up (okay, it was really around midnight last night…) with a croup-style cough, the kind that sounds like a seal. Yeah, she got that once before about a year ago. It is more aggravated when she is crying. Anyway, we gave her some cough medicine (Ivy Calm) and some baby tylenol and she went right back to sleep. This morning she still had it a little bit, but the cough was really not bad at all. She just isn’t feeling that well today, poor thing. Tonight, she fell asleep in front of the tv and then she didn’t want any dinner, so we put her in her bed and read only one story – she didn’t even insist on the normal three that we read! She fell right back to sleep.

Keegan is doing well. He survived all my Easter gigs. He tended to be nice and still while I was playing and while there was a lot of music going on, but then was Mr. Squirmy when the sermons were happening. (I guess that’s normal for most people?) It was quite distracting for me as I was supposed to be paying attention to when I am to play next. He is getting big and strong. He is supposed to be gaining about a half a pound a week in the ninth month.

We will be what’s called "In Dates" starting tomorrow, April 10th through May 14th or something (I can’t even think that far in advance). That means I can have Keegan at home during this time period (three weeks before the due date and two weeks after) and do not have to go to the hospital. So, I am glad we made it this far. My braxton-hicks contractions (which I have been able to feel since around 7 months or so) have been getting stronger and stronger and covering more territory. That’s a good sign. We have our next pre-natal appointment on Wednesday morning. I will be asking if I am dilated yet. Nothing else is going on in there except he is continuing to drop lower as noted by the fact I could breathe more in my gigs and it doesn’t hurt when I sneeze anymore.
