We are now doing weekly pre-natal appointments. YAY! We have been scheduling them at the same time as Little Gym, since we can now leave Zoey there for about 50 minutes. (Nice!). However, this past Wednesday, it was "Matinee Day" where they invited the parents to watch what the kids were doing. So, Evan ended up staying while I went across the street to my appt. By the way, Teacher Allison said that Zoey walked on the balance beam all by herself!!! That beam is about 2 and a half feet off the ground! YAY for Zoey!
The appointment went well. I saw Tracy and it was pretty short and sweet. Every appointment I was supposed to check my glucose levels, and I might add that they have been fabulous! So, I asked if I still have to do that from here on out and I am now officially off the hook. YAY! I owe it all to the herb, Rhodiola I think. It has been helping me get the sleep I need (even when I wake up every couple hours).
And from here on out, they will be checking for any dilation, etc. So far, the cervix is "very, very soft" according to Dr. Tracy, but still closed. Keegan has a great heart rate and is still head down (which I think he has been for about 2 months now). Good boy! He is still a very active mover and shaker (gets the hiccups almost every day now). She said that he feels like he might be around 7ish pounds right now, so we are probably looking at a 9 pounder at birth. Zoey was 8 lbs 14oz, so Tracy said I would be able to handle that just fine. She also said he seems to feel about a week ahead of schedule as well which might put the birth that last week of April, which I what I am hoping for.
I am doing fine, just slow and big. Not too much swelling, especially when I am drinking enough water. My wedding ring still fits, and I can take it on and off. So, again a good sign. I am getting ready for a very busy weekend. Teaching and two Easter gigs coming up. Then, spring break, ahhhhhhhhhh.
