I am very happy with my new computer. It is very zippy! But, more than that, I am able to get my work done and even slip in a blog post now! So, let me get everyone up to date on the latest goings on here at the Sass ranch.
Zoey - doing great! Had her final evaluation with the Shoreline School District on her “failed” gross motor skills section and now she passed it, well, at least doesn’t qualify for help from the state. YAY! She is talking more and more. Just tonight, I let her wear a little camisole/undershirt thing to bed (thanks, Grandma Arlene) and just before we said goodnight, she said out of the blue “thanks for finding this for me, Mommy”. Awwwwww, doesn’t that just melt your heart??
Evan - doing better with his ears. He is on antibiotics now and they seem to be helping little by little. He is feeling better, which is awesome! We just had our 4th anniversary and he took me to Panos Kleftiko Greek Taverna for dinner and it was awesome! Absolutely delicious! What a treat! Happy Anniversary, sweetie!
Me - doing pretty well. Still getting bigger and bigger. I actually lost a pound in the last two weeks, but this kid is still moving and groovin’ around! I can feel his kicks all the way around my sides and up through my rib cage. I am now in my eighth month. Yahoo! Only two more months to go. My next appt is next Wednesday. Also, we are going to have the 4D ultrasound next Monday for fun. You will get to see 3D pictures and a possible clip of a video!
Murphee - We finally took her for her annual vet appt this past week. She is seven now, so she gets to take all these extra tests for starting old age… Well, we found out that she has thyroid issues which has contributed to her weight gain, plus arthritis in her front paws. We put her some anti-inflamatory meds and she is like a puppy again! It is so great to see! We also have started her on some thyroid meds, so we have yet to see how that will affect her. We also took her to the doggy spa and got her a bath and her nails done. She is one happy girl!
We had a houseguest this past weekend, Miss Kate, who is 11. She was a wonderful guest! Zoey liked to call her “Cake”, even after numerous attempts to correct her. It was just too funny, so her name was Cake all weekend. They played a lot and were very entertaining. Zoey had a great time!
The day before Kate got here, we had Krissy babysit for an entire afternoon and evening (on our anniversary). Krissy brought over some fabulous dress up clothes and props. I guess they had the best time! So much, that when Zoey woke up the next morning, she called out for Krissy, not us.
We’ll be posting new photos soon.

Miss Kate had a fun time, thanks again for taking such good care of her for us. Tessa Tweet used to call her “Cake” too, back when the girls were preschoolers. It really is the most adorable thing.
Glad to hear you enjoyed Panos Kleftiko, we love that place. In fact, we’re having dinner there tomorrow night!
