I don’t know if it’s because we ask her to repeat herself when we don’t quite get what she’s saying, or if it’s just fun, but Zoey loves to pretend that she can’t hear us. She’ll stare right in my face, usually after I’ve told her something she doesn’t want to hear (like “You asked for [food X], so take a bite!”), and she’ll say, “Huh? Whachoo say? What Daddy, what?” with perfectly feigned sincerity.
Speaking of ears, mine are still messed up, chock full of gooey infection. My left ear is the worse one. It’s normally the one I use to talk on the phone, since I hear better with it, but I can hardly hear though it as it is now. Today Zoey and I went to Rite Aid and filled a prescription for antibiotics I got a couple days ago under instruction to fill it if things didn’t improve in a couple days. Hopefully I’ll be hearing clearly again very soon, with minimal side effects. Yay.
