Okay, this is really a hack instead of a fix, but it does work. Since moving in we’ve been really frustrated with the ice and water dispensers in the freezer door of our Kenmore side-by-side fridge. Sometimes they work great, but other times, you can hardly get anything out of either the ice chute or [...]

Today Zoey and I met up with Nicole and Kate at Woodland Park Zoo’s newest attraction, Zoomazium. Kate is one of the nine Zoo Kids, and takes her “job” very seriously.
Zoomazium opens tomorrow, but today was Member Preview day—since we have friends on the inside, we didn’t want to miss this! Kate had a [...]

…a couple Mondays ago, and I brought in the camera to shoot the kids in the covered play area before the real photo shoot. You can see the best shots of each kid on Flickr, and here’s our Photo of the Day from that set:

For about the past week Zoey has been specializing in one-syllable words ending in a “k” sound. (Though nothing shocking–yet…)
She enjoys saying the following K words:
duck
milk
stick
rock
Shrek
Other current favorites using different sounds are:
stars
mouse
“Moe” (means “no”)
yes
yeah
downstairs
She has also started repeating words and answering questions she hears on Little Einsteins. Repeated words today included Brahms, as in Johannes, [...]
