Yes, it has been a while since we posted… We have been busily packing and packing and more packing. We have a ton of stuff. We met with Star Movers, who will be our moving company this past week. Ahhh, no more lifting tons of boxes and lifting couches and beds and mattresses. I promised myself that the next time we move, we were going to hire movers. So, we are going to have 4 guys (or gals) and two trucks. They are going to load from the garage and from the front. Talk about fast! They figured it would take about 7 hours from start to finish, unless we helped them out by staging our house first, meaning getting stuff ready to go like already taking the bed frames apart, etc.

It will be a fast load into the new house, too. They can also load into the garage and in through the front door. So, this is all happening on Friday. Today is Monday. We still have a lot of packing to do. Wish us luck!

Murphee has been feeling stressed about this move. She hasn’t really moved before. She has “droopy tail”. She was kinda freaking out one day last week, when I didn’t take her running. Evan almost wanted to call the vet. She didn’t want to go potty. She didn’t want to eat. But, she has been feeling better these days. I have made it a point to take her out as much as I can.

We signed the papers for the new house on Friday afternoon. YAY! Closing should be on the 10th. We moved it up a day. We heard the sellers are out of the house, so, when we get the keys, we can start moving stuff in! YAY!

Then next week it will be time to clean up this house. We have a painter guy giving us a bid for painting the entire inside of this house. We have to still clean up the yard and the roof and other little odds and ends. Then this house will go on the market late January or early February.

This is Zoey’s birthday week! Her birthday is the 12th, Thursday. We are having a little kid party at the Little Gym with her favorite teacher on Sunday afternoon. That is working out perfectly with this move! I ordered a cake already, too! Now, we just need to get the little party favors gift bags and stuff. Display and Costume, here I come!

We will be taking Zoey for her 24 mos appt with Dr. Tracy on Wednesday. We will get some height and weight stats for y’all. I was told by my friend Libbie that if you take their height at 2 years old and double it, that will be their final height within an inch or two. If that is the case, she will already be taller than me. Now, we will see how much. :-)

That’s all the news for now… Have a great Monday!
