A new home may be in our midst a lot sooner that we thought! We were just playing with the idea last week (when we decided to bag our building an addition idea) and our agent took us on a quick tour of some homes in Shoreline. There was this beautiful one with 4 bedrooms, a rec room, two fireplaces, and a brand new kitchen with a gas stove. Wow, it was nice. So, now we are doing a bit more investigating with our current banker and with some creative financing we can get rid of all our debt and buy a new house lickity split! Plus, there would be some left over to buy stuff like furniture and appliances if needed.

Anyway, we are looking forward to having a nice spacious 2-story or split level, 4 bedroom with a rec room and new(ish) kitchen and a nice big backyard, fenced. We will even be able to accomodate guests with their own room and hopefully own bathroom!!! Plus with a bed that we don’t have to blow up. YAY! By the way, if you are interested in donating to our new house fund, you are more than welcome to! :-)

In Zoey news, we had a quick height and weight check with Dr. Tracy this morning. She is currently 32.5 inches tall (serious growth spurt! She moved up a percentile.) and 22lbs 13 oz.–not much of a weight gain, but still very good maintaining. Our next visit will be a day before her birthday in January.

Before we saw Dr. Tracy, we went to the Little Gym! She absolutely LOVES the Little Gym. She tapped the tamborine for the second time since August during the first circle song where we tell everyone our names. It was the sweetest, gentlest tap you ever did see! Then lots of exploring and hanging on the bars and running around. We decided to have her birthday party at the Little Gym. And I am very excited! They do everything for you! You just have to bring the cake. Nothing like a bunch of 2 yr olds running their little hearts out and we don’t have a mess or have to watch over Murphee to make sure she doesn’t eat up the cake. :-) It’s like a double bonus.

We finally have canine tooth number 3 poking through. I think we just have this one and one more plus her 2 year molars to come through for a while. Then we are done with teeth until these fall out, I guess. Then we get to be the toothfairy!!!

We had a wonderful young guest Sunday night and Monday, Miss Katherine was here. She is a very well spoken 9 (almost 10) year old. She was very helpful with Zoey, who just adored her! Zoey seemed to watch every move Katherine made as well as trying to show off her toys. She had no school on Monday, so she came with us to preschool! She was playing with all the rest of the toddlers, too. She even got to be the demonstrator of the giant teeth and toothbrush and how to brush your teeth .It was great!

We also got to see Auntie Bonnie and Grandma Arlene this past weekend! Grandma Arlene came bearing many gifts, one of which was a very sweet little bassinet for a dolly. Zoey loved it! It was a very good time for all.

Tomorrow we are doing Thanksgiving with Auntie Bonnie. We will be feasting on Salmon, mashed potatoes, squash, salad, some other kind of veggie, and Roasted Tofurky with stuffing. We tested the latter out last week and as strange as it sounds, it was quite tasty! We also have pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and Dutch Apple pie, plus the obligatory vanilla bean ice cream. YUMMY!

Then on Friday, we will be heading down to Portland for the day to deliver some wreaths (remember Zoey’s fundraiser?). We will be seeing Grandma Evelyn, Grandpa Earl, Aunt Bev and Uncle Eric & family (who we actually got to see for a bit yesterday!)

Here are Ian and Zoey, just loving sitting side-by-side:
