That’s how Zoey says her name, we think. She has been saying mama and dada and has been startled by how I answer her when she calls me.
That was fun. Zoey had another wonderful time at the Little Gym yesterday. She goes to the Little Gym every Wednesday Morning from now until January. She has been getting more and more independent and exploring on her own there. She LOVES the parachute. She loves to be under it and on top of it. She is almost able to do forward rolls on her own. And she loves to just flop on the mats on her belly. She, of course, did her obligatory flashing of her belly button to all the moms and kids.
She is also able to understand two-part sentences (”commands”). I will ask her to pick up the paper from the floor and hand it to Daddy and she will do that. She is able to help us with chores, too. We decided to clean up the leapfrog table and put it in storage for a while. It had lots of crayons markings on it. So, I took some paper towels and 409 and gave Zoey a paper towel and some fake 409 and we went to work. It was really cute.
We will be starting another routine of going to the Greenwood library storytime for toddlers this morning. I hope it is cool. Zoey likes to roam around the library, but maybe she will be relatively still for this.
Zoey is supposed to be starting preschool on Monday, but it will be postponed for one week due to the fact our new teacher’s father had just passed away. So, we are giving her an extra week before we start. We have our first parents meeting tonight after the board meeting. Did I mention that I am now on the board? I am a PAC rep, which stands for Parent Advisory Committee rep. My role is to be a liason between the rest of the co-ops (39!) in the system and our co-op, plus there is a fundraiser piece. I think we will be selling stuff to raise money for scholarships. Anyway, it should be interesting being on the board. I like the idea of being on the inside and being a part of the decision making process for Zoey’s preschool.
On another note, I have been in to see Dr. Melissa for some allergy relief (NAET). It seems that since I went on my detox diet, my system is even more sensitive to what I am allergic to. She only tested me for 10 things yesterday. Her definition of allergic or sensitivities, is that my body is just not able to process it very well. The list so far, is:
Eggs (I knew that one)
Sugar (I knew that one)
Calcium
Vitamin A
Interesting, huh? I haven’t even been tested for dairy yet. The other one I know I have is dust. So, I was acupuntured with the NAET process (remember Evan had that done earlier this year? He did great this summer! No sneezing!) for Eggs and Vitamin A. I go back on Monday for some more. I am looking forward to seeing what else I am “allergic” to.
Evan has been working a bunch this week so far. He will be doing more with Zo today and tomorrow while I am teaching and at a meeting for the board tomorrow morning. Well, Zoey just woke up… (7:06am) Have a great day!
