That’s one nap a day these days. We were going through fits of crying for up to an hour for just a 30 minute nap and Zoey was crying, too! So, this past week, we went to just one nap a day and she has been sleeping peacefully with not much fussin’ (sometimes going straight to sleep!) about an hour and a half, plus she gets about 11 1/2 hours of sleep a night. Ahhh, and it has been so much more relaxing around here.

Well, we got up both curtains that Aunt Bev made for Zoey. They are so sweet! Pink gingham with daisy flowers appliqued along the bottom. We have pictures! We will post them sooooon. For a while, just one of the curtains was up. Me and Zoey did it together. She helped a lot. So, we could only put up one. Then, early this past week, Grandma Evelyn and Grandpa Earl came to visit. And Daddy and Grandpa put the other one up. They used a level. Hmmm, interesting. Zoey’s room is starting to take shape now. There was this really cute kiddie table and chairs we saw at Ikea the last time we were there. I think we are going to pick that up next time. Soon, she will be walking and want to sit down at her own size table and draw or something.

It was nice to see Grandma Evelyn and Grandpa Earl. They didn’t get to stay long, but it was really great to see them! We had food, talked about stuff and did a lot of baby watching. Zoey also got some very cool presents! Thanks Bev for the jammies! They fit great and are perfect for these spring nights! Also, Evelyn got her this very cute Oshkosh hat. She loves to wear it! (Really, pictures are coming…) I am so glad she likes to wear hats now. For a while there she kept taking them off her head. Thanks you guys for all the clothes and gifts!

After such a whirlwind couple of weeks, I finally get to have a day to "myself," meaning I don’t have to be anywhere at a specific time. So, this morning, we made a yummy breakfast of waffles (gluten-free!), turkey bacon, and eggs. Zoey had the waffles and bacon, too! Then, we had some good fun playing on the bed. Lots of toys and tickling went on. Evan had to get some work done for our doctors’ office, so me and Zo went shopping! YAY!

We also have a guest this weekend, Cousin Lulu, the Boston Terrier. It took her a little while to settle into the rhythms of our house, but she is doing really well now. She just gets so hyper sometimes. Zoey thinks she is interesting and is poised and ready with her arms sheilding her face when she sees Lulu come running toward her.

We are taking care of Lulu for my sister who is enjoying a Father-Daughter Las Vegas Vacation with my Dad. I hope they are having a great time and are winning tons of cash! I reminded Bonnie that Zoey is a size 18 mos or 2T if she wants it to last a while. Zoey had a great time when Aunt Bonnie came over to drop Lulu off. Auntie Bonnie makes all kinds of really funny faces and is fun to play with!

Zoey’s latest pasttime is hanging out on the couch. She cruises on it, crawls on it, watches the "outside" show and likes to reach over to the table next to it and get her snacks or water or a remote or two. She also likes to watch her baby einstein dvd’s sitting on it. She has only gotten off a couple times, most of the time at her will. Once she rolled off and onto some toys. That hurt.
