New Molar!

Wow, it’s Tuesday already! So, Zoey got her second new molar like at least a week ago. It is the mate on the upper side to her first molar that is on her left side. She can officially chew! Yeah, and we didn’t blog about it… Sorry. She’s totally working cutting more molars on the other side. You can see the bulges in her gum line.

Let’s see. Did we talk about her visit to the eye doc? Yeah, it wasn’t really exciting though. She is just fine. I guess you are supposed to get a checkup at 12 mos for the eyes and then not again until preschool age. She got to look at pretty lights and the doc was nice enough. We heard the other doc there was the actual pediatric doc, but this one was recommended by our Dr. Mike. His name is cool–Dr. Ono! Oh no! Anyway, we were checking for any signs of lazy eye or if the eyes aren’t lining up properly or serious far- or near-sightedness. We learned that babies are naturally farsighted and that goes away as they grow older. We just have to keep an eye (heh) on if she can still pick up the littlest pea or if she misses it by a few inches. So far, she is perfect!

What else is going on? We are busy, busy, busy. I have been putting in more hours at the Jr. High I coach, because their solo and ensemble contest is coming up on Saturday. It is very fun because I get to coach the clarinets, flutes, and my favorite little percussion ensemble, in addition to all the brass ensembles. The kids are very fun. Evan has been doing some networking and general IT work for our doctors’ office. He is putting to use his certification in Windows Networking that he got a few years ago. Yay Evan! He is having fun. And a bonus is that they love it when Zoey comes over there as well! She loves their toybox.

We just ordered T-Mobile phones and service! We were on AT&T/Cingular. We weren’t very happy with them. Now, we are getting better service, more minutes, no roaming charges, free long distance and can talk to other T-Mobile phones for free! Tell us if you are a T-mobile phone person and we can talk for free! Plus we are getting these groovy new phones with a mail-in rebate so our “$299.00″ phones are free!!! And by the way, it is all for about $40 cheaper a month.

In other news, Zoey is doing great! She loves spelt pretzels.
