Whew! I finally made it to the CD with photos from the day of Zoey’s first birthday party, and posted 33 of them. I say "from the day of" since the only record of the party itself is currently trapped inside the video camera. You’ll have to wait a few weeks, and then I’ll be able to post movies in the gallery alongside the photos. Until then, give Zoey a call on her cell and she’ll let you know when she can get together with you to watch the video on the TV instead. So you know, she’ll insist on working the remote. Don’t even try.

"Zoey's

We had an eventful day today. Zoey woke us up at o’wow-is-it-early, then after Rona and I traded off napping and baby-playing, Rona went off to work. Z and me watched some Baby Einstein, then rushed off to Lakeside with Murphee for some cold and quick ball tossing. We whisked the Murphster back home, then scurried off to the teriyaki place next to Kennelly Keys to have lunch with Rona. Zoey scarfed almost three pieces of Unagi (eel) and lots of rice.

"unagi"(Unagi might just be Zoey’s favorite food–next time we’ll try to remember to bring the video camera to document her passion for eel.)

The rest of our day included a trip south with Grandpa Robert to look for a 4- or 5-drawer legal file cabinet at the Boeing surplus store (only letter) and Costco (couldn’t find any file cabinets) and Chinese takeout with Robert and Rona. It was a long day for a busy little girl, so now Zoey’s snoozing away without a peep, as she has done for the past three nights. I can’t remember earlier than that…
