Zoey slept well last night, too!!! She woke up at 11:30pm, 2:30am, 5:30am and 6:30am. What a glorious night.
We even disrupted her schedule, too. She took a 2 1/2 hour nap starting at 3:30 yesterday afternoon. At about 6:15 we had to zip over to Greenlake, so we packed up Zo and Murph and headed out. Why?
Well, I decided to take an informal audition for a local brass quintet, Olympic Brass Ensemble. I already knew most of the members in it and thought it would be fun this year. It is only a year long position. The audition was to hang out and sightread a bunch of tunes by the kiddie pool at Greenlake. We ended up with quite a crowd. We did some Bach Chorales, some baroque music, some rennaissance music (for the guys practicing with swords a 100 feet away from us), some Sousa marches, some rags, Gershwin and some 20th century stuff. There was one other person there for the audition, too. I don’t know the results yet, probably in the next few days. But, it was fun to get out and play.
My trumpet students are preparing for a recital a week from tomorrow. That should be really fun, too. Kennelly Keys has a great recital space up in Lynnwood. All the kids are going to do really well.
Nothing else really new to report. We are just happy that Zoey is learning how to sleep.
Food update: Still on water (which she is not really into). No teeth yet.
