We had a good trip to see Dr. Tracy. Zoey was a happy girl. She even got her HiB shot and only cried for like, half a second, then it was all over. No big deal.
Her latest stats:
Height: 25 1/2 inches — 80th percentile
Weight: 16 pounds, 4 ounces — 95th percentile (woohoo!)
Head: 41 1/2 cm circumference — 75th percentile
This afternoon, she has been sleeping a ton! I guess that shot makes her sleepy — or it could be the cool new Chamomilla quick dissolve action teething pellets we got. It was awesome! It totally dissolved in her mouth immediately. She didn’t choke or cough or spit it out or nothin’! So, the little balls that we have to dissolve in milk first are the backups now.
The things we talked about in our appointment included turning down the water heater to 120 degrees. We also need to get some liquid activated charcoal, in case she eats yucky stuff. And to start “brushing” her gums, with a finger, washcloth, finger toothbrush, etc.
Also, baby exercise, like getting her in the boppy to work on sitting up. YAY! Or to hold onto just her hips to try and sit up. We also learned that early eating solid food signs includes being interested in food, and bringing things to her mouth. A must is that she has to be able to sit up and be able to spit food out on her own.
It was a fun appointment! Nothing else new to report.
