Okay, a day late… Here is a valentine picture of Zoey wishing everyone a Happy belated Valentine’s Day! She was in that cute sleeper for all of about 3 hours before it had to go into the laundry.

Sorry for the long blog absence. Time just flies by. To catch everyone up… here’s the latest:

Zoey got her first Valentine’s Day card from Grandma Evelyn and Grandpa Earl last Saturday. Zoey’s second letter in the mail!

A very special thank you goes out to my New York Cousins Evalynne and Larry and their daughter Delanie, for not one, not two, but six eight huge bags of girl clothes! Delanie has outgrown them and she gave them to us! They are so cute! I was a bit overwhelmed when my Dad brought them back from his trip out there last weekend (Thanks Dad!). Zoey has already worn a onesie and a sleeper from that stash. Now, I just have to go through it all and organize by size. Thanks you guys!!!

Another special thank you goes to Grandpa Lou, Rachel and Auntie Bonnie who gave us a small bookshelf that Bonnie painted Zoey’s name on, plus a huge box of books!!! Now, we are set for story time and we have room for more books!

[A note from Evan: A super thank you goes to Ali for loaning us Bayden's Baby Bjorn. It's much more comfortable for me and Zoey to wear than the sling, and I can actually get some work done while wearing Li'l Z!]

We have been doing well with the new schedule. Zoey is sleeping and eating and growing like a weed! She must be around 10 pounds now. We haven’t weighed her in a while, but she is definitely bigger. She is outgrowing all the newborn onsies we have. We get to make a box ready for my cousin Jill in NY and my stepbrother John and his wife, Skye, both are due in the next couple months. Zoey is now able to focus on us better and is alert and checking things out more and more. She is also pretty content in her "high tech bassinette" (her stroller) when she wakes up. She just looks at the pattern of the top or the sides. It is really nice that she doesn’t wake up screaming when someone isn’t there right away.

The one challenge to our new schedule, besides the fact that we don’t get to sleep at the same time, is that when I have gigs, it all gets disrupted. I am doing a really cool gig at St. James Cathedral called Great Music for Great Cathedrals. It is next Friday and Saturday night at 8pm. If you are interested, get tickets early and go early because parking can be tough. But, the concert is really great!
