Zoey Amber Sass was born yesterday at 7:15 PM. Her birth stats are 21 inches long and 8 pounds, 14 ounces. Baby and Mommy are doing fine. Will post more later about the birth, which went really well here at home.

Probably no cookies or candy for you. Sorry. Not a whole lot of contraction action today, but Zoey’s trying out her synchronized swimming moves so she’ll be ready for her big debut. Whenever that may be.

As you can see, Murphee has a nice little bandage on her paw. The vets chopped off her nail at the break. She has some antibiotics to fight an infection that was setting in in her claw. She’s just taking it easy on the couch (as you can see).

A quick update: We have an appt for Murph to go to the vet at noon today. Her toenail doesn’t look so good. So, we are grateful to Cascade Pet Hospital to squeeze us in today. It will be interesting with all my contractions going on… yep. Contractions are pretty steady now, a bit more [...]
We have had no power for the past 28 hours, but it just got back on and we are soooo happy! It got down to about 53 degrees in here. We were all wrapped up in blankets and had logs in the fireplace burning strong.
