Sorry for the break in updates–one missed day led to another, and now here we are. Things have been great in Zoeyland. Ever since Doctor Faith worked her CST mojo on Zoey on Tuesday, feedings have been long and frequent, and outflow activity has increased proportionately. Her crying has reduced in inverse proportion to her eating–imagine that. She is gaining back the weight she lost in her first week.
Which reminds me to back up a bit… On Wednesday Zoey had her 1-week (plus 2 days) doctor visit. Everything checked out great, but she had lost a bit more weight than they like to see. Nothing to be concerned about, but Doctor Tracy asked us to chart feedings and diapers and scheduled ongoing homevisits with the interns to weigh the Zster. By the first weigh-in yesterday, Zoey had gained back three ounces, which is twice as much weight as Dr. Tracy hoped to see. She also wanted to make sure Zoey was going through 9 diapers every day, and she’s way over that. All in all, she’s finally really getting into this whole eating thing. During the visit we learned that they gave Zoey a 9 and a 10 on her APGAR tests, and that by tradition pretty much no baby gets two 10s, or she would have. Our little achiever!
Here’s the Z-meister showing off her new “Born at Home” Onesie that the midwives gave her:

Mommy:
Rona is craving several hours of uninterrupted sleep. Zoey and I try to let her sleep in in the mornings, but about 2 hours is the best we’ve been able to do. She is also quite mentally ready to get back to taking long walks every morning, but she can’t do that for another week and a half. Today she took Murphee to the Lakeside soccer field, though she didn’t do much walking. She enjoyed feeling and breathing cold, fresh air and watching Murph run, though.
Daddy:
I’m doing fine, trying to get work done between helping out my three ladies. Murphee and I have been going out almost every day, usually to Golden Gardens. I’ve been playing perhaps a little too much of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, which I bought for myself with Christmas money from Mom & Dad. (Thanks!)
Murphee:
