We had a little visit this morning with Doctor Bonnie (and Molly and Lea) and Zoey was head down like a good little girl. We are now officially within the home birth window for our January 13th due date, so woo hoo!
Zoey: Standing on her head, squirming, hiccoughing, poking mommy in the back (from the inside, of course).
Mommy: Rona has to do some more glucose testing this week, just to keep an eye on things. Our docs are going to consult with their partners at UW Medical Center about Rona’s amniotic fluid surplus, just to make sure everything is cool (the docs aren’t worried) and they want bloodsugar data. Zoey’s mommy is exhibiting many of the signs of nearing the end of Pregnancy Road, so it won’t be too much longer now. She is craving Baskin’ Robbins ice cream cake, gingerbread lattes, sushi, pancakes, and all the other things she can’t have, but she is being very very good. I’m proud of you, Sweetie! Rona’s been practicing for her annual Christmas Eve gig. The baby’s new position has granted her bonus lung power, so that’s very nice.
Daddy: Just working, playing around with MovableType on my new Linux-hosted site (more on that sometime), and working some more. After today I don’t have to work until next Monday, and I’m very excited about that. I’ve been craving the yummy tempura-battered spicy tuna roll they make at Bento Sushi in Crown Hill. I’m looking forward to some relaxing time off, perhaps going to see LotR: RotK on Christmas, getting more done in preparation for Zoey, and of course Zoey’s immanent arrival.
Murphee: She just wants to play ball. Surprise, surprise!
