In the continuing saga of Zoey’s due date, our little girl seems to have dropped last night or this morning. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything in regard to her ETA, but in a first-time mom it typically indicates the little one’s arrival in 2 to 4 weeks. Who knows, when it comes to our little trickster, but this makes January 3rd more believable. 
Friday morning at about 5am when Rona and Murphee were at Lakeside School walking around the track, they got buzzed several times by what I’m pretty sure was a Great Horned Owl. According to Animal-Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small by Ted Andrews, "In Wales, the owl has come to be associated with fertility. If heard near a pregnant girl, it indicates an easy birth." Well, if just hearing one indicates that, getting dive-bombed three times by an owl with a 6-foot, 8-inch wingspan is most certainly auspicious!
