We went to our childbirth class last night and talked with our docs about the Official ultrasound from yesterday morning. Well, it does seem that we are moving right along. They suggested that we are 36 weeks, 6 days (today). With a new due date of… January 3rd. Then, after a lot of talk about the ultrasounds always being off by plus or minus 2 weeks and refiguring out due dates (which seemed to be difficult at 10 at night)…. we did a quick exam. By the way, how cool is that for our midwife to do an exam at 10pm after a long day!?!
So, on the table, she grabbed the gloves and checked out what was happening inside there. Well, it seems that I am already 1cm dilated and the cervix is 50% effaced. Zoey is still high (-4 for those labor knowledgable). She seemed a little surprised and we re-evaluated intuitively the dates again. I asked her how many weeks according to what she felt, and she said that it seemed more like 37 or 38 weeks now. So, that’s the latest news for now.
