Here’s that view I mentioned from the office window.
Little Zoey is quite the scamp! This morning we had our weekly prenatal visit, and Dr. Tracy felt our baby’s head for a split second before the Wee Trickster slid back up in to hide from probing fingers. Contractions are continuing, still not quite clockworklike. Rona is trying to get some sleep.
It is snowing some [...]
I don’t think Tom Petty was talking about labor. So far we’re just taking it easy. Yesterday morning and this morning we took Murph out and walked a mile around the track at Lakeside School, with breaks inbetween laps for walking up a little hill by the Home football stands and back down the stairs. [...]

No baby yet–the contractions have actually backed off a little bit, becoming a little less regular. This stage can last a couple days, so although my Dad’s guess of December 28 is very close, he’s probably off by a day or so. Not too shabby!
My head is pounding a little, so I’m not going to [...]
Important Note: If you are one of our many parents, now is not the time to check the ferry schedule or peel out of the driveway. I suggest instead you get some sleep, which is what Rona is trying to do, in light of … this evening’s regular (about every 7 to 9 minutes), 1-minute-ish [...]
We had a little visit this morning with Doctor Bonnie (and Molly and Lea) and Zoey was head down like a good little girl. We are now officially within the home birth window for our January 13th due date, so woo hoo!
Zoey: Standing on her head, squirming, hiccoughing, poking mommy in the back (from [...]

After tinkering around a lot with different free video editing packages (and trial versions of very much not free ones) I have for your viewing pleasure a 20-second clip of our little girl undergoing the 3-D Ultrasound process. Just click the below screenshot to view the video. It is in Windows Media Player format, because [...]
Just came back from the Ultrasound and she is head down!!! Yay! She is doing just fine. Although, one interesting thing now is that I have polyhydramnios, which is a bit too much amniotic fluid. So, I am now going to be taking Milk Thistle.
This morning I went to see Dr. Masa Takakura, husband [...]
We just had another exam and she still appears to be breech and definitely facing out now instead of toward my spine. She is not vertical, so Tracy is either feeling the side of her pretty little head or a tushy cheek, which feels very bony because the legs are bent so much. So, to [...]
…was playing games at our last doctor appt yesterday. Our little Zoey decided apparantly to do some gymnastics and appears to be breach. If she decides to stay that way, we will be heading over to the UW hospital to give birth as we can’t do breach births at home. However, there are lots and [...]
