makes Evan a sick boy… Evan caught that flu/cold/cough thing that was going around. He has been home for the past two days drinking Breathe Easy and Throat Coat tea, homemade turkey rice soup and Dayquil or Nyquil, depending on the time of day. He was feeling a bit better this morning, so off to Microsoft he went. I, somehow, have this mommy immune thing going. I was very tired the first day he was home, but after that, I seem to be doing just fine… which is a good thing, cause I can’t take any of those cold medications, ya know?

We have a few things planned that are coming up. We are going to see John Edward at the Washington State Convention Center on Saturday evening. In case you are not familiar with him, he is the psychic medium from the Crossing Over TV show. He is so funny, too! It should be a blast! And it would be even cooler if Evan’s Grandma, my recently deceased relatives, or even our kitty, Pepe, who passed away last June, would come through. But, no expectations here. I just love watching John do his stuff. He is entertaining as well as touches people’s hearts.

We are also planning a trip to New York — Long Island, to be specific. There will be a ceremony to put up the gravestone for my late Uncle. So, we are going to incorporate some sightseeing and family time over there. It will also probably be the last big trip Evan and I take without a little one in our arms (or car seat, as it were). Anyone have any suggestions on what to see? I haven’t been into Manhattan Proper for many years and this is Evan’s first time there. I know I gotta have a good ol’ New York bagel with lox and cream cheese. Mmmmmmmmm.
